Round 1 team announcement
Melbourne Vixens defender Jo Weston will miss the side’s Round 1 match against the Melbourne Mavericks on Sunday as she continues her recovery from a calf injury.
Squad member Gabby Coffey will join the team in Weston’s absence.
“Gabby has gained valuable experience as part of our group over the past few years, including making her debut as a replacement player in Round 1 last season,” said General Manager High Performance & Pathways, Megan Simpson.
“While we’d love to have Jo out on court on Sunday, we’re confident in our squad’s depth and ability to get the job done as Jo continues to work towards her return to court.”
