Sharni Lambden has advised the Melbourne Vixens that she has accepted a contract elsewhere for the 2025 season.

A strong and agile athlete known for her ability to swing from the midcourt into circle defence, Lambden was a Melbourne Vixens squad member from 2021-23 and made her Suncorp Super Netball debut with the Vixens in Round 7, 2022.

Her speed and versatility have been evident through her previous appearances at national level, including as captain of the Victorian Fury for their Australian Netball Championships campaign last year and in the Fury squad that competed in the SN Reserves competition this year.

Since her Suncorp Super Netball debut in 2022, Sharni has taken to the court five times for the Melbourne Vixens, including four this year as a replacement for Kate Eddy.

“Sharni has been an integral part of the Melbourne Vixens environment for a few years now, and we thank her for her contribution to the club,” said Melbourne Vixens General Manager – High Performance and Pathways, Megan Simpson.

“She’s an incredibly hard worker, has played her role as a squad member and stepped up when the team has needed her. We’re proud to see the Victorian pathway talent rewarded with exciting opportunities and are looking forward to seeing Sharni take on this next chapter.”

Earlier this week, the Melbourne Vixens confirmed their completed roster for the 2025 season.
