To our Victorian netball community,

Like you, we are so deeply saddened by the devasting impact the current bushfire crisis is having on our beautiful country. Many of our towns and communities in Victoria are still in the grips of the fires and its aftermath, and most likely grappling with what to do next.

We know that many of our netball family are part of these communities that have been affected by the bushfires, and so at Netball Victoria we are putting our collective heads together to work out how we can best support those affected communities. What is needed and when it’s needed will no doubt be different across the state as the extent of the damage and impact becomes known. But the most important thing is that we want our support following this devastation to last over the long-term.

Our on- and off- court teams are here to help; and so, over the coming weeks and months you will start to see some initiatives that will involve our staff and players, in both fundraising towards the relief effort, and helping our affected community re-build what has been lost.

In the meantime, we are thinking of you. Please stay safe and look after each other.
