Watson secures Liz Ellis Diamond

Returning from injury, Lizzy has played an integral role for us throughout the Suncorp Super Netball season racking up 11 games with over 40 circle feeds and an impressive 340 goal assists throughout the season. Her hot form continued throughout the Diamonds international campaign, leading Australia to Commonwealth Gold in Birmingham and reclaiming the Constellation Cup from the Kiwis.

The accolades didn’t stop there for Liz who was also named in the SSN Team of the Year thanks to her dominance in the wing attack position. She also took out the International Player of the Year alongside West Coast Fever captain, Courtney Bruce.

Hannah Mundy was also recognised for her efforts at the Australian Netball Championships winning the MVP Award for her efforts over the week. Hannah was crucial through the midcourt for the Victorian Fury with her ability to move between wing attack and centre on full display across the tournament.
