Mundy on the rise

Mundy review MV

With the season over it’s time to look back on the year that was for our Vixens, with TikTok sensation and midcourt young gun Hannah Mundy the next player in focus.

An energiser bunny both on and off the court, Hannah went from strength to strength in season 2022. After getting the call up in 2021 as an injury replacement player for Liz Watson, Hannah brought plenty of intensity and excitement each time she took the court utilising her pace and strength around circle edge to give us a fresh look in attack.

Playing both wing attack and centre, Hannah exploited her opposition with her strong hands and vision to deliver into Kiera Austin, Mwai Kumwenda and Rahni Samason. Across her 10 games for the season Hannah racked up 82 assists, one intercept and a deflection, while her work at the centre pass was equally impressive amassing 44 centre pass receives.

Hannah was an unstoppable force in Round 10 against West Coast Fever, getting the start in wing attack and carving up the court with her trademark powerful drives.

Her second phase efforts were on full display with 16 to her name along with her ability to hit circle edge, collecting 20 goal assists from 36 feeds. She also impressed at the transverse line, collecting 18 centre pass receives and recording three pick-ups thanks to her defensive efforts.
