Liz takes home Sarah Tait Spirit Award
Liz Watson has added to her silverware, taking home the Sarah Tait Spirit Award at the Victorian Institute of Sport’s 2022 Award of Excellence.
The Award recognises athletes that encompass the VIS spirit through showcasing courage, commitment, and persistence to achieve their sporting goals while also emphasising the ability of athletes to inspire and bring pride to the community, all of which Liz showcased throughout the year both at a national and international level.
Returning from injury, Liz played an instrumental role in our 2022 season with her leadership and composure out on court second to none. She also led the Australian Diamonds to gold at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham while also reclaiming the Constellation Cup from New Zealand.
