Dynamic defender Sunday Aryang has earned the first call-up of her emerging career, joining four defenders to complete the tour squad for January's Quad Series.

Aryang was selected alongside her West Coast Fever teammate Courtney Bruce, NSW Swifts premiership pair Sarah Klau and Maddy Turner and Melbourne Vixen Jo Weston.

This January's Quad Series will mark Aryang's first international series in the green and gold after the 21-year-old was named in the 2021/22 Origin Australian Diamonds squad earlier this year.

Bruce, Klau and Weston most recently represented the Diamonds during the Constellation Cup against New Zealand in March.

Turner's call-up comes after a year off from Diamonds selection, following her debut in 2019.

Origin Australian Diamonds head coach Stacey Marinkovich said Aryang impressed at the recent squad camp on the Sunshine Coast.

"Sunday is such an exciting young player to watch and her athleticism is a real asset to our tour squad," Marinkovich said.

"Connection is incredibly important for our defensive line-up and I'm excited to see what these athletes can do against our biggest rivals in January."

The Diamonds will take on Netball England's Vitality Roses, the New Zealand Silver Ferns and Netball South Africa's SPAR Proteas in the Quad Series at London's Copper Box Arena from 16-20 January, 2022.

The four sides will go head-to-head once, with a third and fourth place game and a final to decide the winner of the Quad Series trophy.
