Game 2 - Melbourne Vixens v Tactix

The Melbourne Vixens pulled a rabbit out of a hat to secure a thrilling one-goal victory over the Tactix in their second match of 2015 ANZ Championship Summer Shootout this morning.

CarlaDziwoki proved the difference, steadying to nail the go-ahead goal with just 0.2 seconds left on the clock after the Tactix had tied the match up just eight seconds earlier.

In a tight match where the deficit never exceeded four goals, the modified match conditions of two fifteen-minute halves saw a frenetic style of play as theVixens piled on the final five goals of the first half to sustain what would prove to be a match-winning lead.

Kate Moloney was a general from the wing defence position, while Liz Watson and Madi Robinson controlled the centre court in both halves. Alice Teague-Neeld also continued to show promise both in goal and wing attack.

The Vixens will next face the Northern Mystics at 11am.
