Up and coming defender, Gabby Coffey has cemented a spot in the Melbourne Vixens’ squad, signing on as a Training Partner for the 2021 season.

Originally from Alice Springs, and a proud Wiradjuri woman, Coffey made the move to Melbourne in 2017 to pursue her netball career, after receiving a general excellence scholarship at Caulfield Grammar.

From there, Coffey has had a successful progression through Melbourne University Lightning’s VNL teams, has represented Northern Territory at the National Netball Championships, and was selected in the 2019 Victorian Fury team.

The Vixens’ contract is Coffey’s first official Suncorp Super Netball contract, as the 20-year-old begins to make her name known in the elite netball space.

After joining the team for pre-season games in Sydney, Coffey was offered the contract to join the Vixens’ squad.

Gabby joins Tayla Honey, Sacha McDonald, Hannah Mundy and Jordan Cransberg, rounding out the Vixens squad for 2021.
