Game 3 - Melbourne Vixens v Northern Mystics
A dominant first-half performance has guided the Melbourne Vixens to their third win of the ANZ Championship Summer Shootout, easily accounting for the Northern Mystics 30-18.
With six of the 2014 Championship winning starting seven on court, the Vixens were at their belligerent best, piling on 19 first-half goals.
The onslaught was led by Karyn Bailey, missing just one goal in the opening 15 minutes, while Bianca Chatfield led from the front in defense, supported by both Geva Mentor and Emily Mannix.
Mid-courters Madi Robinson and Liz Watson were exceptional spending equal time at wing attack and centre respectively to consistently put the Mystics' defenders under pressure.
The Vixens will face their toughest competition of the tournament to date when they meet the Queensland Firebirds in a Grand Final rematch at 4.30pm this afternoon.
