Kiera Austin re-signs with Melbourne Vixens

The Melbourne Vixens have received a major boost ahead of the 2027 Super Netball Season, with Australian Diamond Kiera Austin re-signing with the club. The Vixens #58 will continue to bring her versatility and experience to the attacking end next season.

Since joining the Vixens in 2022, Austin has established herself as one of the competition’s most versatile attackers across goal attack, goal shooter and wing attack.

A Commonwealth Games gold and bronze medallist and Netball World Cup gold medallist with the Australian Diamonds, Austin has played 111 Super Netball games, including 82 for the Melbourne Vixens. In 2024, she was awarded the Sharelle McMahon Medal as the Melbourne Vixens’ Most Valuable Player, recognising her outstanding contribution to the club.

In 2026, Austin again underlined her attacking impact, leading the Suncorp Super Netball competition with 60 super shots and recording 259 centre pass receives, 202 goal assists and 21 pickups.

Melbourne Vixens Head Coach Di Honey said Austin’s leadership and team-first approach made her an important part of the club’s future.

“Kiera is a fantastic competitor and a player who keeps finding ways to add to her game,” Honey said.

“Her versatility in the attacking end gives us great flexibility, and the care she has for her teammates and this club is something we really value. We’re thrilled she’ll continue in the Vixens dress.”

Austin said she was proud to continue her journey with the club and excited by what the group could achieve together.

“The Vixens have become such a huge part of my life, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to keep playing here,” Austin said.

“There’s still so much I want to achieve in the Vixens dress, and I’m looking forward to the next chapter with this group. I can’t wait to get stuck in and continue representing this club with pride.”
