The Melbourne Vixens are pleased to announce the extension of their partnership with Australia’s largest not‑for‑profit health fund, HCF, which will continue as Premier Partner for the next three years.

An existing partner of Suncorp Super Netball, HCF will build on its longstanding commitment to the sport through its renewed partnership with the Vixens and continued support of Netball Victoria. Together, the organisations will work to strengthen the wellbeing of Victorian netballers across all levels of the game, from grassroots participants to high‑performance athletes while fostering healthy, connected communities on and off the court.

Through this extended partnership, HCF will collaborate with the Vixens and Netball Victoria to lead important conversations around women’s health. This includes engaging Victorians of all ages to build awareness, encourage proactive health behaviours, and normalise discussions on topics that significantly impact women and girls both within the netball community and across the broader state.

HCF’s focus areas for the partnership include:

  • Delivering uncommon care by building healthier communities;
  • Empowering women to take charge of their health; and
  • Demonstrating how HCF supports stronger, healthier communities across Victoria.

The renewed agreement will also support HCF’s goals to strengthen brand awareness and salience in the Victorian market, enhance audience engagement, and positively shape brand perception among fans. This includes building on the success of the HCF Team Health Score initiative and ensuring the concept continues to grow as a distinctive, easy‑to‑understand and unmistakably HCF‑branded program.

Netball Victoria CEO Andrea Pearman said the partnership has already delivered significant impact for both organisations.

“We are proud to have partnered with HCF for many years, driving strong brand recognition and sustained growth in awareness among fans. Our values are closely aligned, and this partnership continues to deliver meaningful outcomes, with an overwhelmingly positive response from the netball community.”

HCF Chief Executive Officer Lorraine Thomas said netball’s reach and influence made it a powerful platform for advancing health outcomes.

“Netball occupies a unique position in Australian sport. It's the number one participation sport for girls in this country, and that reach gives this partnership genuine purpose. As Australia’s largest not-for-profit health fund, HCF exists to improve the health and wellbeing of all Australians. Investing in women’s sport is one of the most direct and meaningful ways we can do that,” Ms Thomas said.

“This partnership is about more than financial backing. It is about meaningful collaboration with players, clubs and communities to raise awareness of the health issues that matter most to young women and to normalise those conversations in sport and beyond.

“As Netball Australia’s official health insurance partner, HCF is committed to building healthier communities by giving voice to Australian women on health topics that are important to them, and to providing the support they need to lead active, healthy lives,” she said.
