WHAT TO EXPECT

Coming off the back of a tight four-day turnaround and an overtime thriller our versatility and adaptability will be key when we take on the top of the table West Coast Fever.

The consistency and ever-growing partnership between defensive duo Jo Weston and Emily Mannix were on show once again last round and will need to fire on all cylinders against powerhouse shooter Jhaniele Fowler. Fellow goalers, Alice Teague-Neeld, Sasha Glasgow and Emma Cosh are also viable threats inside the circle for West Coast.

The contest through the midcourt is where the game will be won or lost. Kate Eddy will be tasked with stopping the likes of Verity Charles or Jess Anstiss. In attack Kate Moloney and Liz Watson will need to pick up where they left off to drive us forward while Hannah Mundy can inject plenty of speed.

Shooting at 100 per cent in Round 9, Mwai Kumwenda will be eager to replicate a similar feat against Courtney Bruce. Diamonds teammates Kiera Austin and Sunday Aryang are likely to match up on one another while the versatile Stacey Francis-Bayman could change up the game for Fever.

ONE TO WATCH

Hailing from Western Australia, Olivia Lewis will be hoping to use every ounce of knowledge she has to impose herself against the Fever attack line. Boasting plenty of athleticism and a great leap, Lewis has proven to be a real menace when injected into the game, reeling in intercepts, and creating deflections to win ball back for us.
