Five Vixens selected for upcoming Diamonds series

Each series will feature 15 athletes, with strong Vixens representation in both squads.

Goaling duo Kiera Austin and Sophie Garbin, plus midcourt pair Kate Moloney and Hannah Mundy, will feature in both squads, with defender Jo Weston joining her championship teammates in the squad for the South Africa series.

The selection marks one step closer to an international debut for Mundy, following her fairytale return from injury to take the court in last month's Super Netball grand final victory.

Vixens fans can watch the team in action live on the international stage, with the first match of both series taking place in Victoria:

• Game 1 vs South Africa - Saturday 4 October
  Red Energy Arena, Bendigo
• Game 1 vs New Zealand - Friday 17 October
  John Cain Arena, Melbourne

“I am really excited about what this group can produce across the next seven test matches,” said Australian Diamonds head coach Stacey Marinkovich.

“Our athletes have come into this year’s Diamonds environment with conviction and purpose. There is a real spark about the way they’re approaching every session.

“New talent has shown they are ready to take the court and earn their Diamonds dress, however match line ups will always be decided by performance.

“There’s a real fire in this group, and the squad’s mentality to challenge and support each other is the strongest it’s ever been.”

Every match of the Diamonds’ International Test Series will be available with no ad-breaks during play on Kayo Sports and Foxtel.
