The Champions Return: Fan Day launches the 2026 season
The Melbourne Vixens will launch their 2026 SSN season at Fan Day to be held at Federation Square on Sunday 1 March.
Melbourne Vixens fans, it’s time to feel the excitement rising! After a thrilling championship-winning season in 2025, the Vixens head into 2026 as reigning premiers, hungry to launch another memorable season. With a fresh coaching direction, including our new senior coach and an expanded coaching department ready to take us forward, this year promises even more passion, performance, and community connection than ever before.
To celebrate the journey ahead, we’re inviting fans of all ages to join us for Fan Day at Federation Square on Sunday 1 March
This free, festival-style event is your chance to connect directly with the team before the season begins. Bring the whole family, your friends, and your Vixens pride. There’s something for everyone.
From photos and autographs with players to the official 2026 dress presentation, up-close experiences with our squad are what Fan Day is all about. Hear from players and coaches on the big stage, soak up live DJ entertainment, and enjoy great activations like face painting, inflatable fun, and junior coaching sessions (no registration needed)!
But the excitement doesn’t stop there. Our 2026 Suncorp Super Netball season kicks off with Round 1 on Sunday 15 March when the Vixens hit the road for their first match of the year. And after building momentum through the early rounds, we’ll roar into our first home game in Round 4 at John Cain Arena on Sunday 5 April. An occasion sure to light up the season with an electric crowd, world class netball action and an official celebration of the 2025 Premiership.
The Melbourne Vixens Fan Day is the starting line for an unforgettable Vixens season. It’s where memories begin, where young fans meet their heroes, where traditions are celebrated and where the entire Vixens community comes together to cheer, laugh and get inspired.
So, mark your calendars, don your vixen colours, and make your way down to Federation Square on Sunday 1 March at 11am. Let’s kick off 2026 in style.
