The Melbourne Vixens are returning to Ballarat
Here’s everything you need to know about the Ballarat Blitz, our 2025 pre-season event on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 March.
We’re welcoming the Adelaide Thunderbirds, GIANTS Netball and West Coast Fever to Ballarat for a sensational weekend at Selkirk Stadium on Wadawurrung Country, thanks to the support of the City of Ballarat and the Victorian Government.
Netball Victoria will also run community activities across the weekend, giving fans the chance to participate in netball clinics, umpiring and coaching courses facilitated by former Australian Diamonds coach Lisa Alexander AM, and meet some of their favourite Vixens athletes.
WHAT'S ON
Saturday 1 March
Junior clinics – CE Brown Reserve, Wendouree (Dowling Street)
- Meet Foxy, plus guest appearances from Melbourne Vixens athletes
- 10am–11am – Woolworths NetSetGo clinic (5–10 years) – $15 - register now
- 11.30am–12.30pm – Train Like A Vixen On Tour clinic (11-13 years) – $15 - register now
Matches – Selkirk Stadium
- 2pm – Doors open
- 3pm – West Coast Fever vs GIANTS Netball
- 3.30pm – From the Sidelines coaching workshop - register now
- 4pm – From the Sidelines umpiring workshop - register now
- 5pm – Melbourne Vixens vs Adelaide Thunderbirds
- 7pm – Player signings (on court)
Sunday 2 March
Matches – Selkirk Stadium
- 10am – Doors open
- 11am – Melbourne Vixens vs West Coast Fever
- 1pm – Adelaide Thunderbirds vs GIANTS Netball
