Melbourne Vixens fans can finally celebrate the reigning Suncorp Super Netball champions’ 2020 season, at the Vixens Fan Day at Federation Square on Thursday, 15 April.

Presented by the City of Melbourne, the Fan Day will form part of the Vixens’ Bring it Home campaign, that will see the Suncorp Super Netball championship trophy travel to parts of Victoria, highlighting stories from the netball community in the lead up to Round 1 on Saturday, 1 May.

As part of the campaign, the Vixens will host the Adelaide Thunderbirds in two pre-season games across the weekend of 10-11 April at the Ballarat Sports Events Centre – home of the Wendouree Netball Association.

Melbourne Vixens’ Kate Moloney says the team is looking forward to celebrating the 2020 season, while kicking off preparations for a title defence.

“Having spent the 2020 season in the Queensland hub, we haven’t been able to celebrate the championship with our members and fans who we knew were cheering us on from afar, so we’re really looking forward to seeing them all at Federation Square,” said Moloney.

“Obviously, the aim for this year is to be holding that trophy again and we cannot wait to be taking our fans on the journey with us this season as we bring live sport back to Melbourne.”
