Round 2 Squad Update
Squad member Emily Andrew has been elevated as a temporary replacement player for our Round 2 clash with the Magpies on Sunday.
Emily will join the team in Rahni Samason’s absence as Rahni continues her recovery from injury.
“Emily brings a lot to the Vixens as part of our extended squad – while we never want to see athletes sidelined with injury, this does present an exciting opportunity for our squad members to gain valuable experience,” said General Manager Vixens, Performance & Pathways Megan Simpson.
Featuring strongly in the Victorian 19/Under team that claimed bronze at last year’s National Netball Championships, Emily was named in the 19/Under Australian squad following her performance at the tournament.
Standing at 190cm tall with the ability to play a holding game or get on the move, Emily was also part of the Victorian Fury side that claimed silver at the Australian Netball Championships in August.
