The 2022 Suncorp Super Netball season will be more accessible to netball fans, with all matches to be broadcast live on Fox Sports and new Saturday time slots headlining a blockbuster fixture.
The 2022 Suncorp Super Netball fixture has been released with a number of blockbuster rounds and new time slots set to headline the season. Every match broadcast will be live and break free across Foxtel and Kayo making it more accessible for fans to watch games if they can’t attend.
All Tuesday and Sunday games right across the season will be broadcast love and free on Kayo Freebies to ensure netball fans can enjoy the game and support their team.
Midweek games will occur once again in the 2022 season in Round 4 and 10 with matches to be played on either Tuesday or Wednesday. Times have also changed slightly for Saturday and Sunday matches (5:00pm AEST and 7:00pm AEST) to accommodate for all those netballers across the country to either watch or attend SSN games.
The Vixens' season commences on Sunday 27 March with a four-week final series beginning on Saturday 18 June, with the grand final to be played on Saturday 2 July. Melbourne Vixens will take on Queensland Firebirds in their first game of the season in what is set to be an epic battle.
The Melbourne Derby will also return to Victoria with the Vixens locking horns with Collingwood in Round 7 on the Queens Birthday public holiday. The rivalry between the Swifts will reignite as the Vixens look to reclaim the Sargeant-McKinnis Cup battling it out with the NSW Swifts in Round 2 and 11.
The 2022 season will play host to a number of themed rounds including honouring the Melbourne Vixens 25 year anniversary with retro round. Other themed rounds include First Nations round which will be held over rounds 12 and 13 to acknowledge the diversity of First Nations cultures, people and identities of Australia.
