Netball Victoria and the Melbourne Vixens are pleased to have BMD extend their partnership for another year.

BMD signed on as a key partner in 2023 with a focus on enhancing the pathway of the number one team sport for women in the state, from grassroots through to the elite level.

As Australia’s leading integrated engineering, construction and urban development business, BMD is proud that one third of its Victorian workforce is made up of women in a traditionally male-dominated industry.

The company’s ongoing commitment to creating opportunities in construction for women is a key feature of its value alignment with netball; the partnership builds on the shared vision of championing and empowering women by creating supportive workplaces and pathways.

Netball Victoria CEO, Andrea Pearman said the extension of the partnership will allow Netball Victoria to continue developing and engaging with its netball community.

“It’s fantastic to have the support of BMD for another year, supporting netball programs across the state from grassroots through to the elite level,” said Pearman.

“The synergy of the two brands lies in our shared commitment to celebrating, supporting, and growing opportunities for Victorian women.

“Our partnership has been of great value to our sport over the last 12 months, and we look forward to continuing to work with BMD to capitalise on their investment into the netball community.”

BMD Constructions General Manager – Victoria, Ivan Fratric says the partnership extension is demonstrative of BMD’s commitment to enduring legacies and providing increased opportunities for women.

“At BMD, we genuinely believe we have the capability to make a difference in communities and this renewed partnership with Netball Victoria and the Melbourne Vixens is testament to our aligned vision and values,” said Fratric.

“BMD is passionate about leading as a champion of sustainable career pathways for women in construction, and I am particularly excited about the opportunities we have had as a result of this partnership in terms of reaching young women through a sport where these athletes are champions of leadership, empowerment and resilience.

“We’re proud to be once again powering the Melbourne Vixens as we believe in the high performance alignment between sport and the teams we have in our business, who are achieving excellence across construction, engineering, and urban development.”
