Melbourne Vixens goaler Rahni Samason has sustained a leg injury and will be unavailable for an extended period of the 2023 Super Netball season.
While this is not reoccurring or related to any previous injury, it will require a rehabilitation process before Rahni can return to the court.
“Obviously this is very disappointing both for Rahni and for the team as we head into our 2023 campaign, but we know Rahni is a resilient athlete,” said General Manager Vixens, Performance & Pathways Megan Simpson.
“She’ll continue to work alongside our experienced medical team to ensure she recovers well and is back out on court fully fit as soon as possible.”
“Our priority is Rahni’s health and wellbeing, and while we hope to see her back later in the SSN season, no timeline has been placed on her return at this stage.”
The club is currently working through the temporary replacement player process and will make a further announcement in due course.
