With the season done and dusted our Vixens are off enjoying their break.
After winning Commonwealth Games gold, Kate Moloney, Kiera Austin, Jo Weston and Liz Watson have made themselves at home in Europe with Liz and Jo galivanting through Portugal while Kiera made the most of the sunshine in the UK.
Kate has caught up with a couple of familiar faces in the Greek Islands, including former Melbourne Vixens training partner and current Firebirds midcourter Lara Dunkley. Rahni Samason has also been globetrotting, travelling to the UK in her break.
Mwai Kumwenda and Olivia Lewis have headed home, returning to Malawi and Perth respectively with Liv now back in Melbourne ahead of next week’s Australian Netball Championships (ANC).
Hannah Mundy has also been avidly preparing for ANC with her Victorian Fury teammates. The tournament begins on Monday in Traralgon as the Fury look to back up their 2019 title.
Emily Mannix and Kate Eddy have been holding the fort in Victoria with a few community netball trips, Eddy heading to Stawell Football Netball Club to impart some wisdom on the next generation of netballers while Mannix found herself at the Riddell District Football Netball Club before the duo jet off overseas.
