Hannah set for Fast5 duties

The Fast5 Netball World Series is returning with the competition set to be held in Christchurch, New Zealand on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 of November. The top ranked nations from across the globe will compete with Australia, New Zealand, England, South Africa, Jamaica and Uganda all vying to take home some silverware.

Our very own Hannah Mundy is set to lead the Vixens charge, with the midcourter ready to pull on the green and gold for the first time. The competition will be a great opportunity for Hannah to test herself against some of the world’s best and compete on the international stage.

Returning after a four-year hiatus the modified game of netball sees five players from each side take the court in six-minute quarters. There is no wing attack or wing defence, which adds another point of difference and creates a whole new level of intensity. Centre passes don’t alternate, instead they are based on who last scored.

Scoring also looks a little bit different as there are three designated scoring areas including a one point, two point and three-point section while powerplays occur in the final 90 seconds of each quarter meaning points are doubled.

You can watch all the Fast5 action live and free on 7Plus from 10am Saturday.
