Kate Moloney will Captain the Melbourne Vixens again in 2018, alongside joint Vice-Captains Liz Watson and Tegan Philip.
After leading the team to the Minor Premiership in the 2017 Suncorp Super Netball Season, the trio have been re-appointed to again guide the young team.
Moloney, Watson and Philip are much respected amongst the team and made a real impact last year leading the team from strength to strength.
Moloney said she is honoured to be reappointed as Captain for 2018.
“I’m really looking forward to continuing on as Captain this year, and to know that I’ve got the backing of all the girls and coaching staff is really important to me,” said Moloney.
“We’ve been training hard and looking forward to Season 2018.”
Watson echoed Moloney’s comments about leading the group.
“We love to get everyone involved and want everyone to feel like they can lead in this team, and that’s something that we’ve tried to do in the season just gone,” said Watson.
The Melbourne Vixens pre-season is in full swing, with the team hard at work preparing for the Suncorp Super Netball.
Moloney, Watson and Philip along with Emily Mannix and Jo Weston have joined the Samsung Australian Diamonds for a Commonwealth Games Simulation Camp, whilst the remainder of the team is preparing for 2018 with some practice matches against the Victorian Fury.
