Melbourne Vixens squad member, Rahni Samason will miss the 2019 season after rupturing her anterior cruciate ligament.

The 20-year-old, who was awarded Victorian Fury’s Most Valuable Player and the Deakin University Australian Netball League’s Most Valuable Player this year, suffered the injury in a training session last week.

Samason was recently named as a Vixens Training Partner for 2019, retaining her position in the squad from the 2018 season.

Samason will remain in the Victorian Fury and Melbourne Vixens environment, working with medical and strength and conditioning staff for the duration of her recovery.
