The Melbourne Vixens have confirmed that shooter Carla Dziwoki has decided not to return to the team in 2016.
The 32-year-old joined the Vixens ahead of the 2015 ANZ Championship season and quickly found her feet.
With over a decade of experience at national league level in Australia, Dziwoki became a mentor for many of the younger Vixens athletes and provided invaluable advice about her experiences as an elite netballer.
"I feel so fortunate to have played my final year with this great team and to call time on my career with my great friend Bianca Chatfield. I'm excited to focus on my career away from the court but will certainly keep a keen eye on the Vixens progress," said Dziwoki.
"I'm in a good place and happy to step aside and make way for some young blood."
Dziwoki has made 33 ANZ Championship appearances, scoring 423 goals.
Netball Victoria thanks Carla for her time spent with the Melbourne Vixens and wishes her all the best in the future.
