The Melbourne Vixens have gone through undefeated in Suncorp Super Netball's #TeamGirls Cup and will meet Collingwood Magpies in tomorrow's grand final.
In their second game for the day, the Vixens came up against reigning premiers Sunshine Coast Lightning, who were also vying for a spot in tomorrow's grand final.
After a couple of slow starts from the Vixens this weekend, the focus was on fierce competition from the first whistle, and that's exactly what they did.
The combination of Thwaites and Philip in goals was a force to be reckoned with and showed there's a lot to look forward to.
The depth of the Vixens was evident with slick rotations across the court leaving Lightning behind.
Caitlin Thwaites, who spent almost a half in goal attack, said the weekend's games have been a great opportunity to develop and work on the connections of the team.
"We've been looking at continual improvement across each of the games across the weekend," said Thwaites.
"With the team of 10, it's been great to have the versatility to switch around which will be something different to look at across the season and will add to the strength of the team."
The Vixens will take on Collingwood Magpies in tomorrow's #TeamGirls Cup grand final. Watch live on Channel Nine from 1.30pm (AEDT).
