The Melbourne Vixens have taken away the full eight points for the first time this season, defeating the Adelaide Thunderbirds by 22 goals at Priceline Stadium in Adelaide.
It was a strong start by the Vixens who, with a turnover from Emily Mannix off the first centre pass, managed to get the first four goals on the score board, setting up the control for the rest of the game.
Once they were settled, the Thunderbirds put up a physical contest down the court, however were unable to shake the defensive pressure of the Vixens.
As the Vixens extended their lead, they took advantage of a frustrated opposition, particularly in the second quarter where penalties were being rewarded.
Mwai Kumwenda was flawless, shooting 47 goals with 100% accuracy, a rightful winner of the Nissan Player of the Match.
The Vixens remain on the road for the next two weeks, facing GIANTS Netball next Sunday in Sydney.
