Khao is on the road to recovery after playing her first match in four weeks, since injuring her knee in June.
After suffering a knee injury in early June, Melbourne Vixens’ mid-courter Khao Watts has been unable to play netball as she continues her rehabilitation. She played her first contested game in four weeks on Wednesday night in Round 13 of the Bupa Victorian Netball League. Taking the court for the Wilson Storage Southern Saints, Watts said the game was a positive step in her recovery process.
“It’s been a day-by-day process for me. After training, we reassess what I can do the next day. Fingers crossed! I’ve done everything I can do for it to be a successful match play and recovery,” said Watts.
While they were unable to secure a win, Watts praised the Saints for welcoming her into their club.
“They were so lovely to make themselves available for what I needed. It was really nice,” said Watts.
Watts will review her injury after playing on the Bupa VNL court as she continues to pursue returning to the Melbourne Vixens.
