The Melbourne Vixens and NSW Swifts rivalry will reignite in the first installment of the 2019 Sargeant-McKinnis Cup.
The Sargeant-McKinnis Cup is named after netball legends Simone McKinnis OAM and Anne Sargeant.
Melbourne Vixens head coach Simone McKinnis garnered 63 caps for Australia and has been at the helm of the Vixens since 2012.
Anne Sargeant is a stalwart of New South Wales and Australian netball, including captaining Australia for six years.
First introduced in 2004, the trophy is decided by the aggregate winner of the two Swifts v Vixens matches during the Suncorp Super Netball home and away season.
Given that the Melbourne Vixens and NSW Swifts currently sit in first and second place on the ladder respectively, it's sure to be a great contest!
