Champions Club

In 2020, Netball Victoria are looking forward to working with our past players, Champions club and Melbourne Vixens club and showcasing the history of our game. We hope that you will join us and share in the successes that will come for our current group of athletes within our Talent Academy, State Teams, Victorian Fury and Melbourne Vixens programs.

As a member of our valued past players community, Netball Victoria wanted to reach out ahead of a busy year with information about how you can continue to be involved and part of the Netball Victoria family.

In 2019, Netball Victoria developed a strategic vision for our community of past players, which is linked to the wider Netball Victoria Strategic plan[LM1] .

Below are some of the initiatives Netball Victoria will be implementing from 2020 onwards;

  • Increasing our shared stories featuring our past players and staff
  • Opportunities to attend professional development and accreditation (coaching or umpiring) courses held by Netball Victoria (free of charge)
  • Opportunity to attend Melbourne Vixens home matches as our guest.
  • ‘Meet and greet’ opportunities for you and your children with the 2020 Melbourne Vixens team
  • Invitation to Netball Victoria events, including VNL finals, ANL match day and functions, and Melbourne Vixen match day functions.
  • Opportunity to purchase tickets to Sharelle McMahon Medal
  • Involvement within pathway programs – specialist coaching and guest speaking
  • Paid appearance opportunities
  • Invitations to attend community events as a Netball Victoria and/or Melbourne Vixens representative

It is Netball Victoria’s hope that through these initiatives we can build a stronger and more meaningful network of past players and staff that continue to be involved with Netball in Victoria - sharing their life-long love of netball.
