Students learn from idols in Go for your life clinic
Students from Westmeadows Primary School and Albanvale Primary School were given an opportunity to learn from the best this week, as winners of the `Go for your life` training experience with the Melbourne Vixens.
Applying for an ANZ School visit from a Melbourne Vixens player saw both schools automatically entered into the draw for this priceless experience, as twelve students from each school visited the Vixens` training centre at the Victorian Institute Sport (VIS).
Students took part in a tour of the famous VIS facilities and had the opportunity to test their own performance on some of the equipment, whilst also gaining insight into the preparation of Vixens players as well as co-tenants the Collingwood Football Club.
Vixens co-captains Bianca Chatfield and Sharelle McMahon joined Collingwood`s Luke Rounds, Jarryd Blair and Tristan Francis in leading the tour which included some healthy living advice from a `Go for your life` representative and various football and netball drills.
